Our Story & Impact
Discover the journey and the positive change that the Egyptian American Medical Society (EAMS) has been instrumental in creating. From our inception to our ongoing contributions, every step we take is a stride toward enhancing health and strengthening connections within our community.
Founded in 1988 by three Egyptian American Physicians, Dr. Charles Hazzi, Dr. Fouad Surur and Dr. Nabil Megally and joined immediately by a group of enthusiastic Physicians and Dentists to continue to grow and include healthcare providers at large, becoming the main representor of the Egyptian American healthcare providers in the tristate are and beyond.
$ 5.8 million were raised from USA with the help of Ameri-Care carried and transported through EAMS members on US Air force planes.
- Help relief the victims of the flood in Upper Egypt.
- Raised funds and donated to red-cross in Lebanon during the Lebanese Israeli war.
- Raised funds and donated to Palestine hospitals in GAZA.
- 2 major fund raising events for the Tahrir organization to treat the victims of the revolution, March 2011.
- Funds raised for purchase of “Epic7″, high definition pediatric echocardiogram for AHC, March 2014. ($ 220,000)
- Five events
- Twenty Four Scholarships
- Added 120 new members (mostly youth)
- $ 250,000 fundraising for 57357 hospital
- $ 75,000 fundraising for Aswan Heart
- Introduction of the Youth Committee
- Hosted 18 Armed Force Medical Students for training in the united states.
